When are tryouts?

WMS volleyball tryouts are scheduled for April 7-11. Last year the WMS girls’ volleyball team won the championship.

Coach Nardoza wants students to “make sure that you have practiced and are ready to go because you only have 2 days of tryouts to show that you deserve a spot on the team. Just try your best! That’s all you can really do.” 

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring players to showcase their skills and earn a spot on the team while demonstrating teamwork, effort, and a willingness to learn.  

8th-grade Volleyball player Isabella Seno said, “Listen to others and take constructive criticism. Also, if someone is trying to help you they’re not trying to embarrass or make fun of you.” 

What are the good qualities of a player?

Player Isabella Seno said, “They’re coachable, when messing up they get back to work, and they know how to stay on track.”  

Coach Murphy also says “Being a good teammate is probably the number one thing we look for. It’s impossible to play volleyball by yourself so you have to be able to work with whoever is on the court with you” If you are looking to join the girls’ volleyball team, then you should take this advice.
