It’s difficult to move on because you make a lot of memories at WMS. 8th graders have difficulty moving on because of new friends, new teachers, and adapting to a new environment/school.
For example, Jayden Omogun an 8th grader from The WMS school said, “ I will miss this school because I’ve made a lot of memories here and friends, and the teachers are very nice here.” Moving on and graduating from middle school can be hard because you have made new friends and lots of memories.
When students move on they think about their future and careers. Omogun said that he wants to be in the NBA or the NFL because it’s his future dream. He said “ ever since I was little I’ve been obsessed with football, I’ve played football for a good 5 years, so I really like this work.”
Another reason It’s difficult to move on is to start a new school year and start choosing or finding or doing a career that you want. For example Mathew Mdeiper said, “ I feel good that I’m moving on.”
Mdepeir said that he wanted to go to trade school and some of his future plans are to make a trade. He wanted to do this job because he could make a lot of money from it.
Moving on from 8th grade to high school is hard because, in high school there’s a much more challenging curriculum, and a lot of people expect academic expectations from you too. One opportunity for people to move on to high school is organizing a visit to the high school so you can find your way and know how your high school is going.
