OLIVIA FARAG: When did you start playing guitar?
KALI LOCACIO: I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old and I got a guitar on Christmas for my birthday and I just started playing it since then.
OF: Okay, what is your favorite part of playing guitar?
KL: Trying something different with the chords and everything.
OF: Are there any other instruments you play besides guitar? And if so what instruments do you play?
KL: I used to play the clarinet in elementary school, then I stopped because I didn’t like it, and then I found interest in guitar.
OF: Uhm what do you prefer?
KL: I prefer the guitar because it’s more funner and it’s just more fun than the clarinet because the clarinet is just low and with the guitar you can just change it to however you want it to sound.
OF: Okay, uhm how are you planning to overcome your nerves about going to the Dunellen Theater?
KL: I already became over my nerves, I’m not scared.
OF: And how did you do that?
KL: By just not thinking about it and just going on stage and playing just for fun.
OF: Okay, how many shows have you been to?
KL: I want to say this is gonna be my 5th show.
OF: Where is the first show you went to?
KL: My first show that I was in was the 80s show.
OF: What’s the difference between the Woodstock show and the other concerts that you have been to?
KL: Woodstock is more old like the 60s and the other shows are more like in the 80s and 90s.
OF: Okay, what are you most excited about for the concert?
KL: I’m excited about going on stage and just having fun and just playing and singing.
OF: What are you most WORRIED about?
KL: That I’m going to forget my lyrics and forget how to play the song.
OF: Okay, I read that Woodstock was a concert from the 60s, if you could go back in time and be in any band in the 60s, which band would you want to be in?
KL: The Who, because I like their song “I can’t explain”, I think it’s a very cool song that they played.
OF: Uhm is there anything else you would like to add?
KL: Try something different and guitar is very fun.
OF: Alright bro.
