Olvesen commented on how the season is going. He said, “The baseball season is going alright. We had two big wins yesterday and we had a double header and before in their first game it was 1-0 in the second game that changed our playoff berth.”
The Warriors ended the season with six wins and two losses. He said, “We ended the season with 6-3 looking at the playoffs next week and we’ll play against Avenel on Tuesday and hopefully win that game to go to the championship on Thursday against Colonia.”
Mr Olvesen said that the season is going great for the team, ”Yeah you know everybody is having fun, we’re winning some games. Overall the season is a win because we were able to develop skills for all of our players on the squad over the last month. At this point of the season with the playoffs next week we change gears a bit and adjust our mindset from development to now determining success by whether or not we bring that trophy home again next week.”
He also explained that the weirdest game he had took place last year, “We won the championship without hitting the ball. We won 2-1 last year. “Their pitcher threw a no-hitter and we won the game 2-1.”
