Woodbridge Middle School’s March Start Students finish the month by performing acts that can be inspiring to many. By doing these acts they were able to achieve the Star Student of the Month.

Anthony Gonzalez saw a student sitting alone in lunch. Gonzalez walked over to his table and sat with him so he had a friend at the table. Gonzalez said, “I saw him alone and I know he doesn’t have a lot of friends, and I’m a friend with everyone, so I picked up my lunch and sat with him.”

Calvin Van Dunk found $5 on the ground he did the right thing and picked it up to bring to the office. Van Dunk said, “Bringing other people’s money to the office so that if that money was important to them, they can have it back.”

Nick Mutilitis found money on the ground. He knew since it wasn’t his money, he should give it Mr. Harris so he can return it to the original owner. Mutilitis said, “I gave Mr. Harris the money after I found it.” He was inspired to do this because he knows stealing is wrong, and the money wasn’t his.

Xiemna Gonzalez and Emily Garcia found money on the ground and returned it to Ms. Liastro. Gonzalez said, “I picked up money from the floor and gave it to Mrs. Liastro.” Knowing that keeping it wasn’t the right thing to do, Garcia said, “I found money with my friend and returned it instead of keeping for myself.”

Claire English found $5 in one of her classes. She asked around the class if it was any of theirs and they all said no. She then did the right thing and gave it to her teacher. English said, “I asked around the class if it was their 5 dollars and since it wasn’t, I returned it to the teacher.”  English was inspired by her mom who she says, “taught [her] to be a good person.”

Nicholas Diaz wrestled for the Junior Wrestling Division and came in 3rd. Diaz tries to accomplish his goals, Diaz said, “I don’t only achiever my goals for wrestling but goals for life, because in life you have to set goals for yourself in order to be successful.”

When a new student entered our school, Charles Crooks and Zaniyah Grooms were automatically nice and friends. Crooks said was inspiration was, “To be nice to someone new.” Grooms said her inspiration was, “Last year I got in a lot of trouble. And my cousin Quasia was good all her life and she got into college to be a doctor.”
