This day known as 9-11 is one of the most tragic days in history, and if you don’t know why I will tell you..
On September 11, 2001 In NYC Lower Manhattan. 19 terrorists from the Islamist extreme group al Qaeda hijacked 4 commercial aircraft planes. Each contained approximately 76 passengers, 11 crew members, and the hijackers. 1 of the planes crashed into Arlington, Virginia. And the other one in Western, pennsylvania.
Now here is the most memorable incident that day…
At 8: 46am in New York Manhattan, the first plane crashed into one of the twin towers on floors 97 and 99. Afterwards exactly 17 minutes later at 9:03, the 2nd plane crashed into the other twin tower on floors 77-85. Many lives were lost and barely anyone was able to escape and come out of there alive.
Interviewers, Journalists went crazy, the streets were full of terrified people watching this catastrophe and both towers collapsed. Interviewers were interviewing people that were witnesses and got out of there, or that saw it all from far, even some not being able to hide their emotion for that disaster. Journalists risked their lives to get pictures and any information they could get to be able to inform the world of what was currently happening. Even after police, security, firefighters and others threatened them that they would be thrown in jail, they didn’t listen and did the most they could do without caring about what they were told.
After that 2, 977 people lost their lives. Some people had to jump off the windows from top floors even if they wouldn’t be able to survive. Many calling family members saying their last goodbyes, full of emotion and frightness. After that no planes were displayed for two days.
This is a tragic, emotional, and very hard day for all of us that no one will ever forget. Now on September 11, We all honor and remember our loved ones, All the lives that were lost on this tragic day. One thing that we all know is that this day will never be forgotten.
