Chorus teacher Mr. McGuire and his students are competing at a school chorus competition near Six Flags Great Adventure on June 7th, hoping to get the ‘superior’ ranking. Then once they are done students will spend some time at Six Flags.
Michael Doolittle is a student and choir member at Woodbridge Middle School. He said he is “very confident” about the competition.
The behavior expectations on this trip are to wear their chorus shirts at all times so they can be identified, to stick with their chaperone, and if they want to get on a rollercoaster they have to ask your chaperone.
Mr. McGuire explained what some of the difficulties of the trip are, “The hardest part about the competition is probably waking up early.”
Mr. McGuire said he thinks “the competition is themselves and not their opponents because they’re most likely going to be nervous.”
Doolittle on the other hand is going to “suck it up and is not nervous.”
Doolittle said his strategy to not be scared on the rides is, “To not chicken out on the rides.”
