The following is a full transcript of the interview Dylan Dwyer gave to Zayd Moro of the Warrior Messenger about what it takes to be a in Cross-Country.
Zayd: What is it like being on the cross-country team at WMS?
Dylan: It’s fun and I have a good time with my friends.
BR: Is it fun running and do you make any friends?
DD: Yeah, I make many friends with running and just like having fun.
BR: How far exactly do you run?
DD: We run 1.5 miles at Merril Park.
ZM: If you don’t mind me asking what is your time running the competition?
DD: My fastest
ZM: Yes
DD: My fastest run is 12:55
BR: Is it easy or hard running the trail?
DD: It’s never straightforward but it’s the easiest when it’s not hot outside because your lungs get dry.
ZM: When is your next cross-country meet?
DD: We have a meet next week.
ZM: Do you consider yourself one of the top runners on the team?
DD: I think I’m in the middle of the runners.
ZM: What do you think about the competition?
DD: The other schools are really good they have good runners some better than the others and it’s fun competition.
ZM: Do you think this school is the best team:
DD: I think it’s one of the best teams.
ZM: Okay, is there anything you would like to add?
DD: No
