The following is a full transcript of an interview given by Delaney Fallon to Radha P and Nimal Kashif of the Warrior Messenger about her life as a volleyball player.
RADHA PATEL: Hi, how do you spell your name?
DELENEY FALLON: D-E-L-A-N-E-Y
NIMAL KASHIF: Would you accept the offer of playing volleyball professionally but you would have to go across the country or not accept the offer?
DF:I probably wouldn’t accept the offer because i’m not that good and I don’t like leaving my home.
RP:What is your favorite position to play in volleyball and why?
DF: Probably anything in the back row I’m not very good at hitting and stuff and that’s probably why.
NK: Is there anything that inspired you to join the volleyball team?
DF: I’m not on it yet but maybe next year but I would just do it because my brother did it and I just enjoy it .
NK: What skills would you like to improve?
DF: My serve and hitting.
RP: How do you deal with stress before a big game?
DF: I just try not to think about it and just, like, calm down.
NK:What qualities do you think a good teammate should have?
DF: Like, not making fun of people and stuff and that’s really it.
RP: What was one time you were proud of yourself after a game?
DF: Probably when I won a game at a camp.
NK: Can you describe a challenge you faced and how did you overcome it?
DF: One challenge I faced was, like, being on a team I didn’t really like and I just tried to get to know people.
NK: Is there anything you would like to add?
DF: No.
