The following is a full transcript of an interview given by Dylan Dwyer to Radha P and Jaclyn B of the Warrior Messenger about what it takes to be a baseball player.
JACLYN BRUNO: What is your name and your favorite position in baseball and why?
DYLAN DWYER: My name is Dylan Dwyer and I like pitcher because you have the most action in the game.
JB: What do you think it takes to do that position?
DD: You need to be able to throw accurate and good.
JB: What is your dream team to play on?
DD: The New York Mets.
JB: Who inspires you to keep going with baseball?
DD: My dad because he always wants me and my brother to practice and to become really good.
JB: Who was the hardest team you had to go up against?
DD: Probably Colonia because we had the most championships against each other
JB: Would you rather be famous in baseball or basketball and why?
DD: Baseball because it is just the sport I have been playing since I was a kid.
JB: How do you deal with stress before a big game?
DD: I usually just try to calm myself down and pet my dog.
JB: What is one quality in a good teammate?
DD: You need to be respectful all the time and just like not be mean.
JB: What was one time you had to adapt to a new position?
DD: When my coach put me at left field even though I didn’t even play left field.
JB: Is there anything you would like to add?
DD: No.
JB: Thank you.
