The following is a full transcript of the interview given by Gia Romano to Cameron Hammond of The Warrior Messenger about what it’s like being a dancer.
CAMERON H: What is your name and how long have you been dancing?
GIA ROMANO: My name is Gia Romano and I have been dancing for 8 years.
CH: How old were you when you started dancing?
GR: I was 4 years old.
CH: What is your favorite style or genre of dance?
GR: Lyrical.
CH: If you had to change anything at your studio what would you change?
GR: I would want a bigger space.
CH: What do you love most about dance?
GR: I get to express myself and create a bond with the other dancers.
CH: What do you do in your free time when you’re not at dance?
GR: Mostly sleep but still dancing.
CH: How many hours per day or week do you spend at dance?
GR: At least 8 hours, it depends what day. On weekends I spend the most time.
CH: Do you have any advice for beginner dancers?
GR: Just trust yourself, you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
CH: If you could pick a dancer from Dance Moms to be your
teacher, which dancer would it be?
GR: Chloe
CH: Is there anything you would like to add?
GR: No.
