Question: What roles are in NJHS ?
Miss McHale explained how students get into NJHS. “The first step is they look at our academics so for example, current 7th graders we look at their 6th grade honors status, they have to have honors for the full year, they have to have honors for the full 1st, 2nd marking period of their current 7th grade. So towards the end of January they reach out to those students to tell them if they are qualified in academics and then we give them the next step which consists of service in school, outside of school as well as having to do some writing assignments and get recommendations from other teachers and that’s the application process.
