The following is a full transcript of the interview given by Bishoy Eshak to Amelia Carrero Nunez of The Warrior Messenger about gifted and talented
Bishoy Eshak: Alright first question.Who persuaded you to join gifted and talented?
Amelia Carrero Nunez: My fourth grade teacher, I’m pretty sure, and then it was my last year’s teacher. She put me in the curriculum and also my mom wanted me to be there, so yeah.
BE: Alright. How did you join gifted and talented?
ACN: So basically it used to be that you had to get suggested, but now it’s like you sign in, but it’s already over, so basically you have to go to another school, I think Avenel, then you have to take a test and if you pass then you’re in.
BE: Where do you go to gifted and talented, like, what building?
ACN: So if it’s elementary you go to Avenel in another class but in this school you basically have to go to two things.
BE: When is gifted and talented?
ACN: For me, it’s every Wednesday, but for like, for example, like, creative writing or art then you’d be in another day.
BE: Alright. Why did you join gifted and talented?
ACN: Because first my teacher suggested it and I thought it would be like really better for me, and my future and I thought it would be pretty fun and yeah.
BE: Alright, thanks.
