In 1962 Greek born Candians began to put pineapple on their pizza. They thought it would work because they loved the 2 things so they thought let’s combine them
We asked staff and students here at WMS if pineapple belongs on pizza and this is what we got.
We asked Teacher Mr. Catalano does pineapple go on pizza and he said yes even though he is Italian. He says yes because the sweet and salty go perfectly together and he said it’s even better with ham and pineapple on it.
Health Teacher Mrs. Lukachyk answers our question: Does pineapple belong on pizza? She says no because she doesn’t fruit on her pizza, only sauce and cheese, but makes an exception for peppers and onions.
8th Grader Christina Nicolosi’s response to our question does pineapple belong on pizza and she said no. She says no because she thinks it tastes nasty together even though she likes the 2 items when along just not together .
