Woodbridge beat AMS 20-36 in a commanding victory with rough conditions in play to affect the runners. The five runners who scored were, Lazarus Lisojo (1), Glen Cantalupo (3), Micah Eason (4), Samuel Tuju (5), Joe Cristancho (7), these five runners had exceptional runs in the conditions and will continue preparing for the next, very anticipated matchup against Colonia.

Lazarus Lisojo displayed his talent again with his second first place performance in the three meets so far; Lisojo said, “I was happy because I had finally finished running.” Lisojo was far behind an Avenel runner in the beginning but his “determination,” and “need for first,” was the reason Lisojo pulled out the victory.

Samuel Tuju has been battling with injuries throughout the season and lost a few seconds in his latest meet. WMS is expecting a healthy Tuju in the biggest meet of the year and he said, “ I am excited to play Colonia, and beat the infamous Pat Miller.” Tuju like the rest of the team is excited for the last regular season meet.

The Boys will take on undefeated Colonia in the matchup to see who ends the regular season perfect, it will be tough, but May 21, at Merrill Park we will see who is the best cross country team in the district.
