Victoria Roca and Abraham Lopez ‘spill the tea’ on how it felt to be picked for the amazing honor of September student of the month.

Victoria Roca, a 7th grader who likes “chilling out with friends” confessed she was ‘flustered’ when called up on stage to be student of the month because she usually didn’t get called up for many things. Abraham Lopez agreed with Roca as he felt “shy, embarrassed and confused” when called up.

Roca also had some word of advice for students who wanted to be student of the month,  “Try to behave in class, good behavior. Bring your homework in on time, and just try your best in all your classes.”

Lopez has a role model he looked up to, Michael Jackson. Roca also looked up to someone, an ‘empowering artist’ , Ariana Grande. Roca is inspired by her music and how she treats both men and women equally.

When asked if he thought anything should be added or removed in the school Lopez answered without hesitation that they should add recess and more freetime like in elementary school. Roca also believed the bathroom should be kept cleaner.

Lopez and Roca shared some interests; they both loved playing video games in their free time  Lopez said he likes to play Fortnite while Roca likes other online games, rather than xbox/ps4 games. Not only that, but Roca likes studying, she knows she has to or else she would be “buried in a grave.”

Roca and Lopez are students who were well-behaved enough to become student of the month, with their words of advice and ways of doing things. As long as you study and try your best you can be student of the month too.
